The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience in innovative recruitment strategies, best practices and trends in employee selection, organizational development, classification and compensation strategies; will have the ability to establish collaborative relationships and serve in a consultant role to staff in assigned County departments; have excellent organizational abilities and outstanding written and oral communication skills; have a high level of personal integrity; and will take initiative, be motivated to excel, and have an innate drive to provide extraordinary customer service to both internal and external customers.

·         County pays 4% of 7% employee contribution to CalPERS for individuals who are members of CalPERS’ or a reciprocal public agency’s defined benefit retirement program and became members prior to January 1, 2013

·         An exceptional benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long term disability.  In addition to the employer’s contribution for these benefits, the County provides optional benefits credits of $6,000 per year that can used to offset the employee cost (or can be taken as cash).

·         Vacation starting at 10 days/year, increasing to 15 days after 4 years with the County.

·         Management Leave – 80 hours per year

·         Holidays – 11 scheduled holidays and 2 floating holidays per year

·         Deferred Compensation program with a matching County contribution of $400/year

·         Flexible schedules with possibility of telecommuting
