Salary: $61,068-$88,428 Annually

The City of Santa Cruz Human Resources Department is currently seeking a Human Resources Analyst I-II for the Recruitment assignment. Our ideal candidate is committed to the Santa Cruz community and City employees with an attitude of service, someone who is motivated, proactive, engaged and responsive, analytical and strategic, with super attention to detail, well-honed writing skills, experience in the public sector, an abundance of HR knowledge and willing to learn more.

Typical duties include: develops, plans, coordinates, and administers the recruitment and examination processes for all regular and many temporary City positions; develops recruitment plans and creative outreach techniques to attract a diverse applicant pool; designs and develops job related selection procedures; evaluates and screens employment applications; develops examination schedules and develops, administers and evaluates oral, written, and performance tests, and other assessment instruments; and attends job fairs and other events to publicize City job opportunities.
